Getting started

For a hosted workspace, use ShrikeDB Cloud to create an account without a credit card.

For a self-managed deployment, start with a local server and a small dataset. The walkthroughs use public server interfaces and require no access to ShrikeDB’s source code.

  1. Start and query a server verifies the connection with a known result.

  2. Install and persist data explains binary and container setup.

  3. Connect a client covers authentication and database selection.

  4. Create a multimodal dataset writes and joins a payload, vector, and relationship.

  5. Model your data explains identifiers and modality choices.

If you already have a dataset, go to Load data. For query examples, use Query data. If an example fails, Troubleshooting connects common symptoms to specific checks.
